The New Orleans Saints’ former linebacker Ronald Powell passed away. His age was thirty-two.

Powell’s passing was revealed by the NFL Players Association on Tuesday in a post on X, a social networking site that was formerly known as Twitter.

We are in deep sorrow over the passing of Ronald Powell, a beloved son, brother, and father to a large number of people. To everyone who knew Ronald, we express our condolences. #RIP,” the group posted.

Powell’s death’s cause remained a mystery.

Dick Butkus, the ‘Ultimate Bear’ and an NFL Hall of Fame linebacker, passed away at the age of 80. Powell was chosen by the Saints in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. According to Fox Sports, he participated in 14 games and recorded two tackles during his first campaign. He was cut loose before the 2015 season, but after going unclaimed, the Saints placed him on injured reserve.
