An independent physician has diagnosed former Cincinnati Bengals tight end Hayden Hurst with Post Traumatic Amnesia, according to Hurst’s father, Jerry.

Jerry used X (previously Twitter) to confirm the story and provide an update.

Jerry wrote, “Slow recovery, don’t know when he’ll be back.” “I appreciate the prayers.”

On November 9, Hurst was hurt as Carolina was losing 16–13 to the Chicago Bears.

Hurst, 30, is presently classified as doubtful and his comeback date is unknown.

Hurst played in Cincinnati for the previous season, where he immediately won over the fans. Hurst spent his first four seasons as a player with the Ravens and Falcons before joining the Bengals.

Hurst has two touchdowns and 414 yards from 52 receptions in his one and only season with the Bengals.
