The Bluebirds announced on Wednesday morning that Ojo would be leaving for the 2023-24 season.

“Winger Sheyi Ojo has joined K.V. Kortrijk on loan for the 2023/24 season,” they wrote in a short statement.

“Sheyi came off the bench in City’s Carabao Cup game against Colchester United earlier this month, scoring his penalty to aid our victory. Ojo is the second Bluebird to have made the move this summer, joining Isaak Davies at De Kerels. We’d like to wish Sheyi all the very best.”

KVK stated in their announcement: “With Sheyi Ojo, KVK can present its seventh addition to the summer mercato today.

“Ojo was educated at Liverpool, where he made his debut in the Premier League in 2016 . The 26-year-old Englishman has also been loaned out several times to teams in the Championship such as Wolves, Wigan, Fulham & Milwall. At Reims, Sheyi Ojo gained experience in Ligue 1 and during the 19/20 season he was active at Glasgow Rangers. Last summer, Ojo made the final move to Cardiff.
