An impressive Summer League saw the Boston Celtics sign Jay Scrubb to a two-way contract for the upcoming season. After being selected with the 55th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Scrubb spent two seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers and one with the Orlando Magic but struggled to make an impact on their NBA roster.

For fans of the Boston Celtics, a time machine for the two stars of the 1980s mentioned above was something of a mixed bag with regards to modern-day versions of Bird and McHale given how the style of play has shifted considerably for players at each of their respective positions.
