The Dallas Cowboys need to do everything in their power to prevent these three catastrophes as they prepare to enter the highly anticipated NFL Draft. As the Cowboys have three picks in the top-100, their draft capital is respectable. They do possess a first and second round pick, and they might trade those selections to generate additional revenue.
The 2024 season may very well be make-or-break for them both now and in the future, since they have an abundance of options in the 2024 NFL Draft and it appears they have no intention of extending Dak Prescott.

The Cowboys are in desperate need of a wide receiver to complement CeeDee Lamb, one of the top receivers in the NFL who recently had the best wide receiving season by a Cowboy in history, since they cut Michael Gallup and Brandin Cooks is obviously a rental. Dallas has never had much luck in locating elite wide receivers, and they will have their chance in the 2024 NFL Draft.
There are many excellent receiving prospects in this draft, and Dallas needs to select one.
2. The Cowboys need to make sure they leave with a QB.
Are the Dallas Cowboys really ready for a scenario in which Dak Prescott walks in free agency and is not extended? That is not at all out of the question, in my opinion, and even if the organisation is only giving it a passing thought at this time, they should still select a quarterback in the middle of the first round of the NFL Draft.
In the middle rounds, Michael Pratt or Spencer Rattler would make excellent draft choices. You can cross Trey Lance off this list because I don’t think he will truly amount to much in the NFL. But the Cowboys need to select a quarterback even if there is a remote possibility that Prescott does not return in 2024.
3. The Cowboys should not select more than one player for the OL.
The Dallas Cowboys offensive line is suddenly not a strength at this time. There are a number of holes in that unit because left tackle Tyron Smith and centre Tyler Biadasz left in free agency, and right tackle Terence Steele wasn’t very good in 2023. Unless Dallas expects Tyler Smith to hold it down, they obviously need many offensive linemen, especially a franchise left tackle.
Along the offensive line, it’s not a fun position, so Dallas needs to make sure they take away numerous players.
