Next offseason, the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers is anticipated to return to the NFC.

Pittsburgh Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, the two new quarterbacks for the Pittsburgh Steelers, are only on one-year contracts. Anything after this season is therefore unknown and up to speculation, with one source suggesting that Fields may relocate.

According to Christopher Kline of FanSided, Fields may decide to rejoin the Dallas Cowboys in the upcoming offseason and return to the NFC. After this year, Dallas’ quarterback situation is quite unsettled, and many people think Dak Prescott might move to a new place by 2025.

Fields might be the Cowboys’ next starter if he does, according to Kline.

“Odds are the Pittsburgh Steelers will decline Justin Fields’ $25.7 million contract option for next season, sending the former first-round pick into free agency,” Kline stated. “In principle, Fields is Russell Wilson’s clear heir in Pittsburgh. However, Fields might be inclined to look for a better place to live if he rides the pine all season as anticipated.”

The deadline for the Steelers to select Fields’ fifth-year option is May 2. Though it’s not a given, it doesn’t mean they won’t consider him after this season. Even if Pittsburgh decides not to pick up Fields’ option, they still have the option to extend him.

For now, Wilson
