Everton are close to sealing their second signing of the summer with Villarreal attacker Arnaut Danjuma joining on loan, claim Mundo Deportivo.
According to the Spanish media outlet [22 July], the Toffees are expected to close the operation to sign the Dutchman in the “next few hours”.
The 26-year-old is to undergo his medical before he can be officially announced as an Everton player this summer.
Second time’s the charm
Danjuma has been in this situation before and even completed his medical at Turf Moor with an announcement being imminent.
However, that deal was hijacked at the last minute by Tottenham Hotspur and he thought moving there would be a better career move.
As it turned out, he barely played there and it proved to be a decision that he would certainly have lived to regret.
Everton have retained their interest in him and now look to have done everything in order to complete his signing as soon as possible.
Ashley Young’s joined so he will be the second one through the door and hopefully, he can hit the ground running at Goodison Park.
Pre season’s begun so the sooner he joins the better it will be for Sean Dyche as he can get him to work in his system.
