Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made an approach for Fiorentina striker Arthur Cabral.
The news comes from the player’s home country, with Goal Brasil featuring a story on this pursuit.
It’s claimed that with Tottenham worried about the potential departure of Harry Kane, they ‘evaluate’ signing Cabral.
Fiorentina, who have the striker under contract until 2026, are said to be requesting €40m for his sale this summer. It’s made clear that Tottenham are just getting to know more about the situation for now. According to Goal Brasil, their contact was made with Paulo Pitombeira, the player’s agent.
It’s also claimed that Cabral isn’t the only striker being considered to replace Harry Kane at the club, as they have several names on the list.
The Brazilian joined Fiorentina in a €15.5m move from Basel in January 2022. In his time at the Serie A club so far, he’s had 19 goals and four assists in 64 appearances.
Cabral’s name is well known in the English rumour mill, as he was linked to several Premier League clubs this year, especially Newcastle United and West Ham United.
Now it’s time for Tottenham to maybe give it a shot.
