According to reports, the Georgia Bulldogs will see another athlete log into the transfer portal.

Zeed Haynes reportedly signed up for the portal after playing his freshman year in Athens.

Haynes came into the game as a four-star recruit out of Fort Washington, Pennsylvania’s North Penn High School. Haynes was ranked as the No. 2 recruit out of Pennsylvania in the 2023 class and the No. 27 wide receiver in the nation by 247Sports Composite.

The receiver decommitted and transferred to Penn State from Rutgers, where he had previously committed. But Haynes would shortly announce his decision to leave Penn State and join the Georgia Bulldogs instead. As a freshman, the receiver only played in four games and had one catch for twenty yards.

Zeed Haynes, North Penn, Wide Receiver

Athens’ receiver position is about to change.
This offseason, Haynes is the third Georgia wide receiver to access the portal. So far, Jackson Meeks and Mekhi Mews have also entered their names into the gateway. Given Haynes’ Pennsylvania roots and his previous Penn State commitment, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the gifted receiver return to the north.

Ladd McConkey is a well-liked name in mock drafts, and the Bulldogs may have multiple fresh faces at the receiver position in 2024 with three receivers in the portal.

For the first time since 2021, the Georgia Bulldogs were not selected for the College Football Playoffs this season. Many players are jumping in the portal early because the Bulldogs aren’t vying for a National Championship.
