Throughout the past few off-seasons, the Green Bay Packers have faced many difficult choices. Numerous seasoned players who spent a significant amount of time in Green Bay have moved on. Among the players at the top of the list was Mason Crosby.
After the 2022 season, the franchise’s top scorer chose not to sign a new contract. Crosby was signed by the Los Angeles Rams for the rest of the season going into Week 14. With regard to the seasoned kicker, they have now chosen another choice.
The Los Angeles Rams Activate Mason Crosby For Their Week 14 Matchup
Robin Adams of Wisconsin Sports Heroics first reported it for our site:
Even though he has not been with the Rams for very long, Los Angeles is desperate for help at kicker. Neither Brett Maher nor Lucas Havrisik could kick with any consistency, each making less than 74% of their field goal attempts.
As improbable as it sounds, the Rams are still in the hunt for a NFC wild card spot. If they have any hope to get there, they need all three phases of their game clicking. Due to the inconsistency at kicker, they have decided to elevate Crosby from their practice squad for their game against the Baltimore Ravens this weekend. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network broke the news on social media:
Now, in addition to Crosby, the Rams vs. Ravens game will have Justin Tucker of the Baltimore Ravens, who is regarded by many as the best kicker of all time and the best in the NFL right now. But right now, Tucker is having the worst season of his career. At 80.8%, he has made 21 of 26 field goals attempts. If this turns out to be accurate, it would be by far the lowest point in his career.
