Ahead of the NBA season, we looked at one Miami Heat player that could surprise the world during the 2022-2023 season.
The Miami Heat intend to reintroduce it during the 2022-2023 NBA season. Their offseason was filled with trade rumours, but nothing substantial materialised. The Heat might still make a deal, but they appear pleased with their present lineup. The Heat had an excellent regular season in 20221-2022. During the postseason, however, the Boston Celtics proved to be too much to handle. However, Miami suffered a number of significant injuries throughout the playoffs.
Nonetheless, the Heat require another star to assist Jimmy Butler in leading the club. Kyle Lowry is still a solid point guard, but he won’t average 20 points each game. It should be mentioned that the Heat will rely heavily on his facilitating. Bam Adebayo is an important big man who will play a significant role on both offence and defence.
The Heat require someone else to step up and assist them offensively. The Heat’s bench is loaded with defensive talents. However, Tyler Herro will be the Heat’s X-Factor during the 2022-2023 NBA season.
Tyler Herro has already established himself as a capable NBA player. He is the reigning Sixth Man of the Year and a capable scorer. Tyler Herro, on the other hand, could have an even better year this year.
The Miami Heat guard has declared his desire to start. And if he does end up starting, Herro’s stats will skyrocket. Herro scored just under 21 points a game last season.
Playing with Jimmy Butler might result in both players establishing a dynamic combo for the Heat. Butler has shown selflessness in the past and may be willing to assist Herro at times. For the Heat, Herro from deep.
According to Basketball Reference, Tyler Herro shot 39.9 percent from outside the arc last season. He averaged 6.7 three-pointers per game. In 2022-2023, he will most likely average more attempts. More tries may result in a worse three-point percentage, but the volume will result in more baskets for the Heat overall.
Herro will continue to shoot well from three-point range even if his three-point percentage drops. Throughout his three-year career, he has never shot worse than 36% from deep.
Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro
As previously stated, playing more consistently alongside Jimmy Butler should benefit Herro. Butler is particularly skilled at driving into the paint and lifting up from mid-range. The play styles of Herro and Butler are unlikely to collide. Butler can kick it out to Tyler Herro for a three-pointer if the defence doubles him on the drive.
They complement each other wonderfully. They share a lot of parallels with the Chicago Bulls’ DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine. The Heat will benefit from starting Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler together.
Prime
Tyler Herro is a 22-year-old man. He is still improving as a player and is not even close to reaching his peak. However, at 22 years old, the youthful Heat star may be entering his prime.
Herro has the potential to surprise the NBA world and emerge as a true superstar for Miami during the 2022-2023 NBA season.
