Aston Villa were dealt an injury blow in the second half of their Premier League clash with Burnley on New Year’s Day.
Striker Wesley had to be carried off on a stretcher and seemed in considerable pain with 20 minutes of their clash remaining.
The summer signing was caught in a robust, but fair, tackle by Burnley’s Ben Mee, although Wesley appeared to twist his ankle in the follow through and roll over onto it.
It will come as a blow to Dean Smith and Wesley himself, who had been impressive at Turf Moor.
He scored the opening goal with a smart finish through the legs of Nick Pope, before having a hand in the second with Jack Grealish smashed home.
Jonathan Kodjia came on to replace Wesley up top.
