Missouri: ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – When police stepped in to arrest two suspects who are currently facing felony charges in St. Louis County, a four-month-old dog that had been taken from its owner and tossed from a third-story window sustained injuries but is likely to survive.

Prosecutors in St. Louis County accused James Edward Perry, 18, and Landon Jacobi Allen, 23, on Friday with two counts of theft exceeding $750 and second-degree burglary, respectively. The St. Louis County Jail is currently housing both of them, and each suspect’s bond has been set at $100,000 in cash only.

According to charging records from Vinita Park Police, the victim stated on October 14 that someone broke into her home and took two French Bulldogs, Little Tory, who was four months old, and Zelda, who was two years old. While conducting their investigation, authorities came across an internet ad offering the stolen animals for $5,000 apiece.

The North County Police Cooperative organised a “buy” of the canines in order to apprehend the suspects in collaboration with other agencies. When police arrived at the exchange location on October 19, they found Zelda, one of the dogs, and took into custody a female suspect who was not named in the criminal documents.

Officers were informed by the woman that the dog was found at her residence in the 900 block of Goodfellow. Little Tory the puppy was thrown out of a third-story window by one of the accused (whose identity is not included in the charging documents) when the police arrived at the scene.

Despite being hurt in the fall, the police stated they believe the puppy will live. After throwing the puppy, Perry and Allen locked themselves in the flat, but they were arrested.

According to charge documents, police discovered two firearms and a significant quantity of packed fentanyl inside the flat where the two accused were staying.

According to Missouri court records, Allen is now on probation following his conviction for distribution of a prohibited narcotic in St. Louis.
