JUST IN: Aston Villa and Italy Make Their Debuts At……

The well-traveled offensive midfielder was a youth player for Genoa, Fiorentina, and Virtus Entella. In 2017, he joined the Nerazzurri’s Primavera squad after signing with the club.

The Italian, however, was never called up to Luciano Spalletti’s senior side. He left Inter after one season to join AS Roma.
The teenage player was used as a bargaining chip by the Nerazzurri in the transaction that brought Radja Nainggolan to Appiano Gentile. Zaniolo made an immediate impression on the Italian capital.
The 24-year-old is presently working as a

trade at Aston Villa. He once again finds himself working with Spalletti who’s now at the helm of the Italian national team.

Nonetheless, Zaniolo has no resentment for his brief Inter experience under the Tuscan manager. He believes he was not ready to play for the senior squad at the time.

“At Inter, I wasn’t ready yet,” the Italy player remarked in an interview with La Repubblica via FcInter1908 of his relationship with the national team coach.
