The Italian custodian received glowing praises during his first season in the Premier League with the newly promoted club last season.
With Di Gregorio in goal for all but one of Monza’s 38 Serie A games, the club supported by the late Silvio Berlusconi finished 11th, just four points short of European qualification.
Carlo Alberto Belloni, Di Gregorio’s agent, has declared that his client will remain in Italy for the foreseeable future.
While Di Gregorio was “flattered” to be injured in the Premier League, his agent indicated the player will remain in Italy for the time being.
“The flattery from the Premier League is nice,” Belloni remarked on Twitch, “but we have decided to renew with Monza, which is the right environment for him.”
Inter Milan sold Di Gregorio to Monza last summer after a two-year loan, although they were the other team thought to be interested in the 26-year-old.

With Di Gregorio off the market, Forest may be content with signing Arsenal’s Matt Turner and Benfica’s Odysseas Vlachodimos to address their brief keeper dilemma over the summer.
Steve Cooper stated after the draw with Crystal Palace that he wants Nottingham Forest to have an established side.
“In the end, you do want a consistent team which has played together for a while where natural connections have built,” he went on to say. “That’s exactly what we intend to accomplish. But it is undeniably a team in transition.”
Cooper is still working on integrating the Reds’ offseason additions; relationships are still being formed, and the group is still coming together. However, given the battle for spots, players understand that they must take their chances when they come their way.
