Manchester City have been handed a huge boost to their squad with a key injury return before their clash against Arsenal this weekend. It comes as the two teams prepare for a potential early Premier League title clash, following on from last season’s intense battle.

The Gunners had led most of the way through the campaign, stunning many following on from missing out on the top four the season before. Plenty of additions saw the side enter the discussions over winning the league, but towards the end their push collapsed in on itself.

Changes were made over the summer to try and take the side to that next level, breaking the club-record transfer to sign Declan Rice as part of a total £200million spend. Both teams have gotten off to a decent start so far in the early weeks of the new season, setting up a tantalising tie.

Arsenal have won five and drawn two of their opening seven games, while Man City have six wins and one defeat from their first few. It leaves the Gunners one point behind their rivals and gives them an opportunity to leapfrog them by the end of play on Sunday evening.

The match could be decided by a number of factors, but one of the key ones could be injuries and potential returns beforehand. Bukayo Saka is a concern for the north Londoners as they await results of a scan, while Gabriel Martinelli is another that is a doubt for the game.
