Max Kilman thinks a few of his Wolves teammates have really stepped up this year.

Manchester City was defeated by the underdog Wanderers in a decisive victory.

Wanderers put up their greatest performance of the season so far, coming off a Carabao Cup loss to Ipswich Town two days earlier.

Few predicted the outcome.

But at Molineux, Gary O’Neil’s strategy was flawlessly carried out.

After Manchester City’s victory, Max Kilman praises Wolves’ attackers. Wolves had to do a lot of defending against City, as they were always going to.

Kilman, Craig Dawson and Toti Gomes were all fantastic. But the team defended from the front, with Neto, Hwang and Cunha all working their socks off. And then of course, they provided a threat on the counter. Kilman was really impressed with them, and believes they’ve stepped up this season. He said (Express & Star): “They’re top (Neto and Hwang). They’ve both really kicked on this season and they’re doing really well, and Cunha as well. “The front three was electric and we know if we won the ball and put them on the counter-attack, we’d have many chances, and it paid off.”

Neto, Hwang and Cunha were just superb against City. Individually and as a unit. One would imagine O’Neil will be turning to this particular attack quite often this season.

Because the three players possess speed, directness and all work their socks off. And there is an actually a decent goal threat there now, too.
