According to the Sunday Mirror, Hull City and Swansea City have sent scouts to monitor Charlton Athletic winger Corey Blackett-Taylor in recent weeks.

This season, the 26-year-old has made an impact in front of goal in League One, contributing to five goals in eight league games.

Though his goals have not been enough to propel the Addicks to a strong start to the season, his individual performances on the pitch have not gone unnoticed.
In fact, a number of Championship clubs, notably Hull City and Swansea City, are interested in signing the 26-year-old in January.

Both Championship clubs have sent scouts to watch the player in action for Michael Appleton’s side in recent weeks.

The League One club’s contract with Blackett-Taylor ends next summer, and a move for him might be done on relatively easy terms.

It now remains to be seen whether Hull or Swansea act quickly to take him away from Charlton in January or wait until the summer.

Blackett-Taylor came through Aston Villa’s junior system and departed the club in the summer of 2019 after making two senior appearances.

Swansea City monitoring Sheffield Wednesday loan man after failed transfer window bid Swansea City have been keeping tabs on John Buckley’s progress on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, as detailed in a report by Swansea Independent. Swansea City lodged a £3million bid to sign the midfielder from Blackburn Rovers in the last transfer window according to The Star. However, he ended up moving to Hillsborough on a temporary basis. Buckley, 23, has since played three times for the Owls. They are struggling in the Championship following their promotion from League One and haven’t won yet. Swansea Independent claim the Swans have ‘monitored’ his time in South Yorkshire so far. He remains under contract with his parent club until June 2027.

Swansea may have regarded Buckley as a way to bolster their midfield options before the deadline earlier this month. However, a move to Wales was not in the cards.

The Mancunian has been with Blackburn for his entire career and has progressed through their academy divisions. He played for the Lancashire club at several youth levels until getting into the first-team in 2019.

He has since made 130 appearances in all competitions for Rovers, scoring nine goals. Jon Dahl Tomasson, on the other hand, didn’t have him in his plans for this campaign, which is why he was permitted to leave.
