Bristol City manager Nigel Pearson believes that Stoke City’s new players will need time to adjust to their new surroundings.
Stoke City are desperate not to repeat their troubles from last season, and they have dug deep into their coffers to bring in a slew of new arrivals this summer.
However, Stoke have struggled to get off to a good start this season, with only one point from their last five league games.
Neil will take his squad to Ashton Gate on Saturday to face Bristol City, and Pearson believes the Robins will be tested.
Pearson agrees that Stoke have had a slow start to the season and believes that their newcomers will need time to settle in.
“It’ll be another tough match,” Pearson said in his blog for Bristol City’s official website.
“Stoke City had a disappointing start, but they have a lot of new players who will need time to settle in.”
“We all know how unpredictable the Championship is – just look at Plymouth’s 6-2 win over Norwich after they lost to us. “We have to be on top of our game, every game.” Last season, Stoke came out 2-1 victorious from their encounter with Bristol City at Ashton Gate and it remains to be seen whether Neil’ side will be able to again snatch three points from the Robins.
