Aaron Ramsey is expected to participate in Cardiff City’s match against archrivals Swansea this Saturday, according to Erol Bulut, despite scaring supporters while on international duty with Wales.

Ramsey scored a penalty against Latvia on Monday, his 100th goal in senior football, but he jogged off after the 49th minute, raising concerns.

Wales manager Rob Page attempted to assuage anxieties following the game, while Ramsey himself stated that it was merely a precaution. And Bluebirds fans can breathe a sigh of relief as it appears City’s star player will be healthy and ready for the derby.

“He had adductor stiffness, which he managed well with the national team.” He had to get off because he couldn’t go on. For the time being, he appears to be in good health,” Bulut said.

“He was at training today, and he will be at training tomorrow.” And he’ll be there on Saturday.

“Against Latvia, he changed in the 49th minute. I was aware of his injury, his adductor tightness. He had it in previous games when he played. We made it possible for him to play.

“However, he handled it well with the national team.” He went out, and we got it done – our physios got it done.

Unfortunately, both Callum O’Dowda and Josh Bowler look set to miss the game. “He will be out for a longer time. I think another two weeks,” Bulut said O’Dowda. “Bowler, it looks like he will not be with us.” Cardiff host Swansea this Saturday, kick-off is at 7.45pm.
