Michael Duff believes the Swansea City squad’s unity will be crucial as they prepare to face Millwall at The Den this weekend.

The Swans won their first league game last weekend, 3-0 over Sheffield Wednesday.

On Thursday, the head coach disclosed that Joe Allen (groin) and Nathan Wood (ankle) will be sidelined until January, while Josh Ginnelly will be out for the rest of the season with a ruptured Achilles.

Duff, on the other hand, is sure that his team will be able to overcome the problems they have faced and build on the platform established by recent games.

“When you win, there’s always a little bit of optimism.” “The players and staff have worked extremely hard to achieve this, but it is a difficult league,” he remarked.

We’ve said we want to be more aggressive and on the front foot, and the first two goals came from a press and a counter-press, but I thought we played some positive stuff as well.

“Throughout the challenges we’ve faced, the players have remained united.” They are aware that there is much work to be done.”

And Duff believes his team may benefit from the club’s fervent fanbase.

More than 700 Jack Army members will travel to Millwall to support the squad on Saturday, and the fans have already sold out their initial allocation for the trip to Plymouth Argyle seven days later.

“It’s a nice club and a nice environment, but it comes with a responsibility to look after it,” he stated.

“Walking around Swansea gives you an idea of what the club means to people.”

“It serves as a constant reminder of our responsibilities.” Everything is here, and if we can get everything moving, it will be a fantastic football club.

“There aren’t many other football shirts here – there aren’t many Manchester United, Manchester United, or Chelsea shirts.”

“When you see what it means to people, it makes you want to achieve even more.”
