Junior Tchamadeu of Colchester was acquired by Stoke City before the deadline.
With the acquisition of Colchester United defender Junior Tchamadeu from Stoke City for an undisclosed sum, the arduous transfer window has come to an end.

After much uncertainty about his future over the summer, the 19-year-old, who was voted League Two’s young player of the year the previous year, has agreed to a four-year contract at the bet365 Stadium.
After Lynden Gooch and Sead Hakabanovi, he is the third transaction to be completed on the deadline day, and his entry follows left-back Josh Tymon’s departure for Swansea.

“Junior is an exciting prospect who possesses all of the physical and technical attributes to enjoy a successful career in the game,” stated technical director Ricky Martin.

“We have been interested in him as a player for a while, so we are thrilled that the trade is finalized.

“To have consistently delivered high-quality performances at such a young age shows immense potential.

“We wish him well for his future career with the club and look forward to assisting him in realizing that here at Stoke.”
Tchamadeu played 41 times for Colchester last season, scoring five goals and assisting on two more.

He is certain that he has chosen the best location for his development.
“I have been eager to complete the move to Stoke City and start the next chapter in my career since I first learned of the interest,” he stated.BBC Essex - BBC Essex Sport, Junior Tchamadeu: The work I'm putting in is paying off
