CHELSEA have agreed terms with Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun ahead of a late summer switch across London from north to west.

The USA striker, 22, has been linked with Inter Milan and Prem clubs following his sensational loan season with Reims in which he netted an impressive 21-goals for the French side in the League.

He has already come out and admitted that he needs to play in the coming seasons – and Mikel Arteta has been unable to give him the assurances that he needs to 100 per cent make the decision to stay put.

Balogun is attracting serious interest from the likes of Inter Milan and CHELSEA, among other clubs this summer, as there is a feeling that he will not get the game time that he wants this coming season.

According to outlet Football Transfers, the Blues have agreed terms with Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun ahead of a late summer switch.

The American international is keen to join Chelsea and compete with Nicolas Jackson, But Arsenal are looking for close to £50m for the striker despite the fact he is surplus to requirements at the Emirates

Right now – Chelsea and Inter Milan are leading the chase to sign the talented striker – so he has options.

Balogun fits the criteria that CHELSEA are looking to sign, he is young, hungry and talented, something that will mean a big contract if he moves to Stamford Bridge.

He would most certainly be interested in a move to Stamford Bridge as he knows that the Blues do not have a permanent number one striker right now.

So he has more of a chance of playing there than he would at the Emirates, but if he is not ready to make an impact in that Arsenal side – he is not ready to lead that Chelsea attack.

He is an exciting player – but there is a reason why all these clubs have not yet made a deal happen – and it is not just because of that asking price.
