The West Ham board have told David Moyes their decision regarding potential £50 million Folarin Balogun signing
According to a report from FootballTransfers, the West Ham owners have told David Moyes that signing Folarin Balogun from Arsenal in the summer transfer window will not be possible.
And Sky Sports claimed last month that Arsenal will demand as much as £50 million for Balogun. The USMNT striker is exactly what we need at the London Stadium.
He has pace and power in abundance and is a very good finisher indeed. However, it appears as though he won’t be swapping North London for East London this summer
The American is quite simply not worth £50 million. Perhaps if he was available for closer to £30-35 million, then he’d be worth a punt for West Ham.
There is quite simply far better value for money to be had in the summer transfer market.
West Ham are not in a position to be splashing out £50 million on players like Folarin Balogun. If we are going to spend that kind of cash, it needs to be on a proven player.
Hopefully we do end up signing a striker this summer. The Arsenal forward clearly won’t be coming to the London Stadium though.
