Nottingham Forest could be left frustrated in their efforts to sign Chelsea player Trevoh Chalobah. It’s believed that the versatile performer isn’t keen on a move to the City Ground this summer.

According to the Evening Standard, the Reds did want to sign Chalobah. However, despite the best efforts of Steve Cooper who has worked with him before, it would appear he’s not keen on a reunion with one of his previous managers.

Forest have added three new players to their ranks during the summer transfer window. Ola Aina was added on a free transfer, Matt Turner has checked in from Arsenal and Anthony Elanga has signed for the club from Manchester United.

More new arrivals are required though and Cooper would have loved to take a chance on Chalobah from Chelsea. The 24-year-old wasn’t in the squad as the Blues drew 1-1 with Liverpool at the weekend and his chances of regular football look non-existent.

Cooper rates Chalobah highly and he’s worked with him before during his time as the England under-17 head coach. He actually named Chalobah as his captain on seven occasions and caved reuniting himself with the player
