‘Lovely to see’: Chiquinho reacts to what £15m Wolves player did on Monday night.

Sasa Kalajdzic took to the field in a competitive game for Wolves on Monday night for the first time in almost a year.

The Austrian striker was handed a cameo appearance by Gary O’Neil at Old Trafford.

Wanderers lost the game 1-0.

But the team was seriously unlucky to suffer defeat, putting in a brilliant performance against the Red Devils.

Wolves will win plenty of games of football this season if they can replicate that level of performance consistently.

Wolves fans are certainly now feeling a bit better about the season as a result of that display.

There were just so many positives to take aside from the actual result.

And one such positive was finally seeing Kalajdzic back out there in a competitive game for Wolves.

Chiquinho sends message to Sasa Kalajdzic after making his return against Manchester United

After Monday night’s game, Kalajdzic posted on Instagram to mark his return.

The elated 6ft 7in star wrote: “Really thankful to be back 11 months after my surgery and very proud of the performance yesterday from the team.

Firstly I want to thank everyone who has been part of my journey so far getting me back on the pitch again and secondly thank you for the amazing support!”

The star received plenty of warm messages from fans.

And there were also comments from some of his Wolves teammates.

Including a nice one from Chiquinho, who is spending the 2023/24 season on loan at Stoke.

He wrote the three-word message ‘Lovely to see’.

Chiquinho and Kalajdzic were able to build a particularly solid friendship last season, as they both spent time in the treatment room.

Like Kalajdzic, Chiquinho was also on the sidelines recovering from a serious knee injury, and the duo will no doubt have been good company for one another.

They were also the first two playes back at Compton Park this summer.

So good to see Kalajdzic back out there

It was brilliant to see Kalajdzic playing for Wolves again in a competitive match.

It was so cruel what happened to him last season, and Wolves fans would love for him to come back stronger this term and score some goals.

Wolverhampton Wanderers Return to Compton for Pre-Season

The £15 million star seems like an absolutely lovely person away from the pitch.

So hopefully he’ll soon build up a head of steam and become crucial for Gary O’Neil, who recently said that the striker was still lacking a bit of match sharpness right now.
