West Ham United reportedly want to sign Flamengo star  as a replacement for Gianluca Scamacca this summer.

Gianluca Scamacca has left to join Atalanta, and West Ham want to sign Pedro Guilherme from Flamengo to replace the Italian, according to a report from AS.

Hammers boss David Moyes is desperate to sign a new striker in the summer transfer window with Scamacca now gone, and Michail Antonio facing an uncertain future at the London Stadium.

West Ham have been fairly inactive in the transfer market so far this summer, with Edson Alvarez the only player who we’re even close to bringing in.

It seems as though our business could be about to kick into gear though…

Flamengo’s Pedro Guilherme is firmly on the Hammers’ radar this summer according to AS, although we allegedly could face competition from Nottingham Forest and Benfica for his signature.

The six-capped Brazil international has bagged an impressive 93 goals and 23 assists in 193 games for Flamengo (Transfermarkt).

And the 26-year-old seems to be perfectly suited to the intense pace and physical nature of Premier League football.

Goal reckon that Flamengo want around €30 million (£26 million) for the South American forward this summer.

He is completely unproven in the Premier League, and we all know what David Moyes’s thoughts on that are!Real Madrid after Brazilian striker Pedro Guilherme -report - Managing Madrid

I would be very surprised if West Ham paid £26 million for the Flamengo striker to replace Gianluca Scamacca this summer. Having said that, I actually think he’d be a very good option up front for us.
