England international Tammy Abraham has sent a two-word message to midfielder Jeremy Sarmiento after he completed his move to West Brom.
The Baggies announced the arrival of the 21-year-old on a season-long loan from Premier League side Brighton on 25 July.

West Bromwich Albion have signed winger Jeremy Sarmiento on a season-long loan from Brighton.
The 21-year-old Ecuador international will wear the No 17 shirt during his time at The Hawthorns.
West Brom manager Carlos Corberan told the club’s official website: ‘I am very pleased to have signed a talented player from a Premier League club. He is an exciting player, who has great maturity for someone so young.
‘The fact he has already played in the Premier League and at a World Cup gives me the confidence that he has the personality and desire required to keep developing his skills.
‘He is a versatile attacker who can play on either wing, as well as through the middle as a 10, and his flexibility to play to a high standard in three different positions will be important to us
-
Born in Spain, he was previously capped by England at youth level.
But then he elected to represent Ecuador, for whom he was part of the squad at last year’s World Cup in Qatar.
Last week Sarmiento agreed a new contract with Brighton which will run until 2027, with the club having the option to extend the deal for another year. The Ecuadorian international posted a photo of himself wearing a West Brom shirt on his Instagram page with the caption “New beginnings. Let’s get to work” and Roma forward Abraham responded by saying “Let’s go” with the fire emoji.
- It’s unclear whether or not Abraham and Sarmiento actually know each other given that they have never actually played at the same club together.
But both players did grow up in London, with the new Baggies signing playing for Charlton’s academy for nine years and representing England at youth level, so there could be some connection there.
- It’s nice to see a player that has gone on to make his name for himself take the time out to send the midfielder a message either way, as he looks to make an impression during his loan spell at the Hawthorns.
- There’s also good luck messages to Sarmiento on the post from Brighton stars Tariq Lamptey and Billy Gilmour, who will be eager to see how he gets on during his spell at West Brom.
There have been plenty of positive words coming out of the Premier League club about the Ecuadorian after he has featured for them on 14 occasions since signing from Benfica in 2021, so Baggies fans will be hoping he can play a pivotal role in their push for promotion in the upcoming season.
