JUST IN: Newcastle United completes contract signing of a 26-year-old top defender…

Transfers to Newcastle United: This summer, Tosin Adarabioyo will be a free agent and depart Fulham.
Tosin Adarabioyo is expected to be a free agent this summer, and Newcastle United is reportedly in the lead to sign him.

In his last preseason press conference of the season, Eddie Howe denied that any deals were close to being finalized. However, an offer has been made to the 26-year-old defender, who is expected to depart Fulham this summer when his contract ends.

The former Manchester City young talent has also been linked to Manchester United. Adarabioyo has not received an offer from the Red Devils, and it is “likely” that the defender will sign with Newcastle this summer, according to Mail Online.

Since letting Fulham know he will be leaving at the conclusion of the season, Adarabioyo has not been included in a matchday squad. Since joining Fulham from Manchester City in 2020, the center-back has appeared in 129 games.

Apart from Newcastle and Manchester United, other teams that have shown interest in him include Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and West Ham United. It is anticipated that he will be among the Premier League’s most sought-after free agents this summer.

The captain of AFC Bournemouth, Lloyd Kelly, is expected to be available this summer on a free transfer, and Newcastle is also considering a bid for him. The 25-year-old, who can play left- or center-back, was previously under Eddie Howe, the head coach of Newcastle, when he was signed by Bournemouth from Bristol City in 2019.

With Paul Dummett’s contract expiring at the conclusion of the year and Jamaal Lascelles and Sven Botman suffering from long-term ACL problems, the Magpies are eager to bolster their defensive options.
