Our squad is extremely small, as everyone has witnessed lately, and we really need reinforcements, one of whom need to be a gifted striker. The next season, Watkins will not play sixty games. I’m just biassed, but I think Diaby should be released because we won’t have any elite players if we win the Champions League.

Teams are already anticipating what might occur around the trade deadline, even though it’s still early. Competitors are keeping an eye out for possible difference makers who might become available.

The Houston Astros’ season hasn’t started off well; as of Tuesday, they are seven games behind the AL West lead and 10 games below.500.

Usually, the Astros front office takes on that job, but given their early-season troubles and the fact that they haven’t fully recovered, there is a possibility that they could end up selling to recover assets, as some of their best players are anticipated to become free agents in the next two years.

General manager Dana Brown, however, disproved that idea on MLB Now.

“Not at all. No, I am unable to imagine that. This ballclub and team are just too good, in my opinion. We have an excellent bullpen and rotation together with… I believe that the output is increasing [offensively]. Our guys seem too professional, in my opinion. They play well. I don’t see any situation in which we end up selling,” he remarked.

Naturally, going into the season, that was the expectation.

They were hoped that Cristian Javier’s strong return would provide them with a strong rotation behind Jose Urquidy, Hunter Brown, and J.P. France, especially with Justin Verlander in the mix and coupled with Framber Valdez.

However, injuries have severely hindered that, and their performance has fallen short of expectations.

Both the offence and the bullpen are in comparable situations since their output is well below expectations.

Nevertheless, Brown exudes confidence in Houston’s ability to resolve the issue.

“I believe that winning this series is crucial in order to return to a.500 rating. Once you’re back to.500 and you’re rolling, you can go on a five-, seven-, or ten-game winning streak and before you know it, you’re eight or ten games above.500. The season is lengthy,” he continued.

Although that sounds fantastic and is definitely possible, the Astros may not be able to carry out what their general manager stated. They may have gotten themselves into too much trouble, particularly if their ailments and subpar performances keep coming back to bother them.

If Houston is unable to improve by the time of the trade deadline, it will be intriguing to see if Brown still holds those same opinions.
