Jake Clarke-Slater, a rumored transfer target for Wolves, has responded to rumors that he would leave QPR this summer.

It was stated earlier this week that Wolves and the five other teams interested in him would have to pay anywhere from £5 million to £7 million to sign him. According to rumors, Stoke City, Celtic, Burnley, Crystal Palace, and Ipswich Town are among the teams interested in Gary O’Neil’s team.

The 26-year-old played a crucial role in helping QPR win the Championship. This season, he made 33 appearances in the Championship, with ten clean sheets to help the Hoops stay in the second division.

Now that the championship has been achieved, Clarke-Salter has expressed hopes of leading the West London team to the Premier League. He expressed his satisfaction at Loftus Road but did not completely rule out leaving.

He stated, “I’m 26 now, and I was 24 when I left Chelsea,” in an interview with Football League World. I’m currently working to establish my own legacy outside of Chelsea, advance professionally, and hopefully make significant progress with QPR.

One of my personal goals is to play in the Premier League, something I think I’m capable of accomplishing. With QPR, I’m hoping to accomplish that; the team is growing and exciting times are coming.”

“People might send it to me and stuff, but I wasn’t really interested in anything at that point; it was just about securing safety of QPR and playing as well as I can,” he continued. “I don’t have Twitter or anything, so I don’t see any of the rumors.”

“We’ll see what transpires during the summer. I’m absolutely happy at QPR, and maybe we can have a successful season next year, but I don’t have a crystal ball.”
