Spurs have reportedly reached out to a player worth £56 million this summer, with manager Ange Postecoglou reportedly believing he would fit in “seamlessly” at the club.

Tottenham is expected to support Postecoglou in the summer transfer window, according to a report published in The Times this week. The same source also stated that Tottenham wants to add a new midfielder, forward, and center back.

This comes as the head coach of the Lilywhites acknowledged that his team needs to make significant changes. He also hinted that several players would be let go and that the path is “not for everyone.”

“Change is necessary. Regarding the Spurs’ future, Postecoglou stated that change is necessary.

“You cannot desire to change your direction and anticipate that the same individuals will follow you. It is simply not going to occur. There has undoubtedly been some player development during the past two windows, but that’s not what I mean when I say there’s still a long way to go.

“You cannot expect everyone to accompany you on a voyage of extreme transformation while declaring that you will make significant changes. It’s not that I’m not trying. It simply means that we will train in a specific manner, play in a certain manner, and think in a specific way. That’s also not suitable for everyone.”

Postecoglou also draws a connection between Arsenal and Liverpool, two teams that appeared to have lost much of their identity after beginning to succeed in the Premier League, and Spurs.

“I think he’s a good player and has attracted a lot of Premier League interest,” said Robinson to Tottenham News.

“If Tottenham are in for players like that, that can only be a good thing. You can’t question the Spurs recruitment.”

Tottenham is among the teams who have already contacted about signing Olmo, who is regarded as a possible steal at roughly £56 million, according to a story by Sport Bild that was reprinted this week by Sport Witness.
