NASHVILLE — Following the most recent action by Titans general manager Ran Carthon, quarterback Will Levis of the Tennessee Titans is probably grinning.

The Titans and former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd have reached an agreement to a one-year contract worth $4.5 million, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, which was confirmed by a source to AllTitans.com.

Throughout the 2023 campaign, Boyd caught 67 passes for 667 yards and two touchdowns. Regretfully, his 10.0 yards per reception set a personal low and his 39.2 yards per game average was the lowest he has had since the 2017 campaign. Despite this, Boyd has had a stellar career with the Bengals, finishing seventh in receiving yards with 6,000 and fourth in all-time receptions with 513.

Boyd and his new Titans head coach Brian Callahan are reunited thanks to the deal. Boyd played for the Bengals throughout his whole eight-year career.

The Titans may be prepared to move on from 2022 first-round selection Treylon Burks, who has battled with consistency since joining the team, if they sign Boyd. The Titans already had DeAndre Hopkins and signed Calvin Ridley throughout the offseason. Boyd, Hopkins, and Ridley together may be a dangerous combination.
