Elly De La Cruz is largely responsible for the Cincinnati Reds’ success, as they are enjoying their best start in eleven years.

De La Cruz is one of just two Reds players who has appeared in every game this season, and he is having a great season. He is slugging.579 and hitting.280 with a.389 on-base percentage. With an OPS+ of 171, he is 12th in MLB and far ahead of the rest of the squad.

His fast-paced songs are very funny. De La Cruz will finish with 157 hits, 89 walks, 42 home runs, and 94 stolen bases if he keeps playing at this level. We know he will have some lean periods over the season, so on-pace numbers are more speculative than real.

Nevertheless, De La Cruz’s early-season trends can be attributed to his good pitch identification and consistent plate discipline. Perhaps he can reach these targets and maintain his amazing play that the Reds have shown us so far this season.
