The official Mark Pope era in Lexington has begun, and with it, the recruiting season at Kentucky.

Along with Drexel centre Amari Williams, Pope already has four-star recruits Collin Chandler and Travis Perry, but the head coach still needs to assemble the full team.

Following a strong rookie campaign, Stanford transfer Andrej Stojakovic has been linked to and contacted by Kentucky.

Andrej was ranked among the top 25 recruits in the 2023 class. He is the son of former NBA All-Star Peja Stojakovic.

Regarded as a 3-point shooter is Stojakovic. Since his BYU Cougars finished second in the nation in 3-point percentage the previous season, it is no secret that Pope’s offensive plan likes 3-point shooting.

After using the site for a short while, the Stanford transfer is beginning to make decisions and schedule visits.

ESPN’s Jeff Borzello claims that Kentucky and Stojakovic are still very much in contact. Michigan, California, and North Carolina are among the other colleges that are pursuing this.

Jacob Polacheck of KSR stated that Stojakovic might come to Kentucky, but nothing is certain as of yet.

During the 2023–24 season, the 6-foot-7, 190-pound Stojakovic averaged 7.8 points and 3.4 rebounds while playing as a true freshman at Stanford. He is still eligible for the next three years.

Though time is running out, the Cats still have plenty of time to sign some important players for the squad of the upcoming campaign.
