In2024, would the Philadelphia Eagles be able to regain their Super Bowl form?

The Philadelphia Eagles’ 2023 season was a complete disaster after a season in which they were only minutes away from winning the Super Bowl in 2022. Nick Siranni’s team had a 10-1 start, but they couldn’t even win the NFC East, and in the NFC Wild Card round, they were humiliated by the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Howie Roseman is expected to make a big impression in this week’s NFL Draft, according to ESPN’s Jordan Reid. The Eagles will be selecting Alabama cornerback Terrion Arnold with the 12th overall pick after trading away picks 22, 50, and 161 to move up ten positions and obtain the pick from the Denver Broncos.

The Eagles are adept at anticipating needs and meeting them before they arise. After a defensive meltdown in the second half of the previous season, they may select a cornerback in the first round for the first time since 2002 (Lito Sheppard). The predicted starters, Darius Slay and James Bradberry, will be 33 and 31 years old, respectively, when the following season begins. Arnold has five interceptions in the previous season and is a versatile, easy-to-maneuver player.

Round 2, Pick 53: Michigan’s Junior Colson, LB

“Colson would help set the tone for the position group and the defence as a whole. Last season, the Eagles’ defence was weak at linebacker. He is a quick-witted, instinctive second-level player who quickly blocks off rushing lanes. Colson finished the season with 101 tackles.

ESPN reports that Roseman and company will select Michigan tight end AJ Barner (210), Texas A&M defensive lineman McKinnley Jackson (172), Illinois offensive tackle Julian Pearl (171), and Miami safety Kamren Kinchens (120) with their last four picks.
