Michigan State football is in the middle of their spring practice schedule, and they have done a fantastic job of bringing numerous recruits on campus to visit during these practices. They’ve had a lot of high-profile recruits visit, but offensive lineman Avery Gach stands out the most.
Avery Gach is a four-star offensive line prospect from Franklin, Michigan. He is one of the greatest recruits not only in Michigan, but around the country. According to 247Sports, he is the No. 196 player in the nation and the No. 13 player at his position. In addition, he is Michigan’s No. 2 player.
As one of Michigan’s top recruits, it’s no surprise that the Wolverines are extensively involved in his recruitment. In fact, they may be the leader, according to one 247Sports crystal ball forecast for Michigan in Avery’s recruitment. However, Michigan State is gaining ground, and it is evident the Spartans are one of his.
Avery will be visiting Michigan State on April 13, but he has already made arrangements to return to East Lansing several times. He recently stated that he plans to return to East Lansing for an official visit later this summer, in addition to another spring visit. So if that doesn’t show how serious he is about Michigan State in his recruitment, nothing will.
When asked about what he looks for in his future school, Gach told Kenny Jordan, “A key part for me is finding a school I actually love and want to be at. Would I still want to be here if I wasn’t playing football?
That will undoubtedly be a major emphasis for Jonathan Smith during his next visits, and I am confident he will convey this to Avery.
This will be one of the Spartans’ most crucial recruitments in the 2025 cycle.
Michigan State and Michigan appear to be his top two colleges, and you always want to win in-state recruiting contests against your rival. So Smith hopes to get off to a good start in recruiting the state by winning this recruitment.
