HE IS BACK: Ravens announces the return of a significant and veteran linebacker

Kyle Van Noy was a free agent for three weeks before re-signing with the Ravens, but he claims leaving Baltimore was never an option.

Van Noy, a veteran linebacker who joined the Ravens last year after previously playing for the Lions, Patriots twice, Dolphins and Chargers, believes Baltimore is where he wants to be.

“I really bought into what we were doing last year,” Van Noy told Baltimore Ravens.com. “I truly feel we have the pieces. I believe we as a group need to put in a bit more effort. Whether it is a little more film or a little more after practice, just a little more. I am honoured to wear in a Ravens shirt and compete for another championship. We didn’t get the ending we wanted. Being able to return with another group and compete for another trophy is a blessing. I had my eyes fixed on this location the entire time. It was not a question of if. It was a question of when.”

Van Noy said he considers Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti a personal friend, which played a role in his decision to stay.

“I knew where I wanted to be and I think the Ravens knew they wanted me back,” Van Noy went on to say. “Why wait?” Let us get things done.”

The Ravens have lost several key players from last season’s defence, including Patrick Queen, Jadeveon Clowney, Ronald Darby, Del’Shawn Phillips, and Geno Stone. But Van Noy is prepared for Year 11 in the NFL and Year 2 in Baltimore.
