Scouting Report: Minnesota commits a new quarterback Jackson-Kolock

Junior quarterback Jackson Kollock of Laguna Beach, California, had first committed to the University of Washington, but after Kalen DeBoer transferred to Alabama, the signal-caller resumed his recruitment. And the Gophers have identified their 2025 quarterback after a multi-day unofficial visit to the Twin Cities.

In the case of California signal-caller Jackson Kollock, what are the Gophers getting? Having seen Kollock play a lot, National Recruiting Analyst Greg Biggins shared his thoughts on the matter.

According to 247Sports, Canton, Ohio, McKinley linebacker Dante McClellan has scheduled official visits with Michigan State (June 1st weekend), Minnesota (June 7th), and Missouri (June 21st).

In addition, he is putting up Tennessee, Rutgers, Louisville, and other institutions. The idea is to schedule as many visits as feasible prior to making a choice. All of the universities are in his top eight.

The 2025 recruiting cycle is heating up as some of the top high school football players around the country are starting to announce their respective college decisions.

During the week of March 22-28, 10 players committed to a Big Ten program, including nine prospects in the 2025 class and one underclassman. The group of Big Ten commits includes a trio of Top100 prospects, headlined by a five-star defensive lineman and the nation’s No. 1 edge rusher.

Four Big Ten schools secured at least one commitment this week. USC led the way with five commits, followed by Minnesota with three, while Maryland and Washington each had one.
