Sadly, the 49ers must take the tight end from the Lions.

After missing out on yet another Super Bowl by a narrow margin the previous season, the San Francisco 49ers are hoping to finally overcome all obstacles and win it all.

George Kittle, perhaps the best tight end in the game, is a member of what is perhaps the most gifted squad in the NFL.

However, depth is crucial, and the Niners, per Ian Rapoport, moved on Friday by signing restricted free agent tight end Brock Wright of the Detroit Lions to an offer sheet.

After three seasons at the University of Notre Dame, 25-year-old Wright was not selected in the 2021 NFL Draft. In his three seasons in the league, all with Detroit, he has amassed 43 receptions, 424 yards, and seven touchdowns.

George Kittle, perhaps the best tight end in the game, is a member of what is perhaps the most gifted squad in the NFL.

However, depth is crucial, and the Niners, according to Ian Rapoport, moved on Friday.

He has a deal that runs through the 2026 season, and he declared he was “definitely in for the next couple of years” right before last month’s Super Bowl.

During his season-ending press conference, head coach Kyle Shanahan hinted that the team would concentrate on improving its offensive line in the draft that takes place next month.
