Just Now: Florida Gators reacts to Graham Mertz’s shocking remarks on Billy Napier

Four-star receiver Cortez Mills has a few handfuls of visits set, and he shared his thoughts on why each school is on his schedule.

MIAMI — The craziness of spring visits began Monday for Top247 receiver Cortez Mills, who made the 28 mile trip to Miami’s campus for the start of spring practice.

However, that is only the beginning of a busy few months for the Homestead (Fla.) High standout who has officials and unofficials set to Clemson  and Florida, officials to Nebraska and Miami, and unofficials to LSU, Penn State, Missouri, Auburn and Oklahoma, and he is working on a Florida State return.

It was almost a year ago when we first highlighted the next wave of college basketball big men. Giants continue to make a huge impact in the college landscape (just ask Zach Edey who is on his way to a second consecutive National Player of the Year trophy). The other big fellas like Hunter DickinsonRyan Kalkbrenner and Armondo Bacot are also thriving while Donovan Clingan and Owen Freeman are in the process of making us look good.

Elite WR Cortez Mills sets first LSU visit - On3

So much has changed since last year, so 247Sports thinks it’s time for an updated look at college basketball’s future.

Here is our latest list of ten up and coming bigs (five college underclassmen and five high school senior prospects) who project as elite difference makers at the collegiate level:

2023-24 Stats: 7.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 19.6 minutes per game

Why he is up next: He may not start for the Florida Gators, but Alex Condon has a good chance at being a special name in the college realm. He oozes with potential and production as he projects to be an inside-out problem sooner than later.

He could tap into his best basketball next season as he’s comfortable operating on the perimeter and plays with educated feet on the low post. He brings great size, can put the ball on the deck and shows touch inside the lane. Also, he is capable of stretching a defense from the trail spot.
