Nottingham Forest stadium plan gets green light despite ongoing PSR case
Forest are set to hear the verdict of their charge by the end of the season after being charged with exceeding the allowable losses over a three-year period.
Maguire explained that Forest’s stadium plans will remain unaffected by financial regulations and will help the club to increase their overall revenue and wage bill.
, Forest have hatched a ‘master plan’ to expand City Ground to a capacity of 40,000 as well as build a new state-of-the-art training ground.
It comes at a time when the club faces a possible points deduction for breaching Premier League financial rules.
“I also think that with new regulations that are likely to replicate that of UEFA, increasing revenues is absolutely critical.
“For every extra £1 million that Forest can generate from matchday revenue at their expanded stadium that’s an extra £700,000 on their wage bill.“
