The Lakers ended their four-game losing streak against the Clippers with a 106-103 victory, and for the first time in recent weeks, they had a joyful locker room instead of one that was dealing with defeat’s agony.

But happiness and comfort arrived with caution.

It was the Lakers’ first victory of this current five-game homestand and only their fourth win in their previous 14 games since they defeated the Indiana Pacers to win the In-Season Tournament on December 9. They have an 18-19 regular-season record, which is still below.500.

Even though Sunday’s win was over their co-tenant at Crypto.com Arena, they nevertheless attempted not to get too high after it, just as they had avoided being too down after their recent losses.

LeBron James stated, “It helps, obviously, but it doesn’t fix everything.” However, we still need to learn more from our victories than from our defeats. Because when you lose, you can reflect and say to yourself, “Okay, this is why we lost; we need to improve.” This needs to be done. The first thing a person does after winning is say, “Ah, we won.” Alright.

However, no. We still have too many mistakes to learn from, like the one we made on Sunday. Thus, we must draw lessons from this Monday.

The Lakers could have done better in several areas, including ball security and defensive rebounding, even though they prevailed over one of the best teams in the Western Conference.

There’s also an understanding that winning a big game one time doesn’t guarantee success in subsequent contests.

After their away victory over the San Antonio Spurs on December 13, they were on a four-game losing streak. Before suffering an 11-point defeat to the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day, they had ended that losing run on December 23 with a victory over the Thunder in Oklahoma City.

Coach Darvin Ham stated, “We can’t be too comfortable, we can’t be too comfortable.” “We have a great deal of work ahead of us. This was a tremendous victory over a top-tier ballclub. However, it demonstrates what we can accomplish when we come together and everyone just concentrates on their individual and group tasks. Everybody: players, coaches, members of the performance team, etc.

“I hope that this kind of performance carries over into the upcoming games and continues until the end of the season. You can accept yourself with these kinds of performances, win or lose, and the tenacity with which we competed from start to finish. It got really loud, but take a few deep breaths.
