Michigan Is Supposedly Making A Huge Offer To Jim Harbaugh

The NFL season of 2023 is coming to an end, and teams are trying their hardest to position themselves for the playoffs while those that were knocked out of the postseason are looking to strengthen their squads in the summer.

As usual, there will be a number of head coaching positions up for grabs due to underperformance.

The Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, and Carolina Panthers let go of their head coaches midseason, while teams like the New England Patriots and Washington Commanders will likely part ways with theirs.

With so many openings, there are going to be a few coaches who will have their pick of a landing spot.

For example, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is a popular choice to leap back to the NFL given his previous success and the work he’s done in the collegiate rankings.

However, Harbaugh might not be available as Michigan has reportedly offered him a massive extension with a caveat via Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

“Jim Harbaugh has a 10-year, $125M contract offer from Michigan,” Rapoport reports.

It’s quite the offer from the Wolverines who appear serious about keeping Harbaugh on their sidelines.

The extension would carry him through to the next decade, though perhaps the college knows that he would eventually leave for the NFL following the 2024 season.

It remains to be seen which direction Harbaugh will go in, though there are definitely multiple teams hoping he turns down the contract and explores a return to the professional level.
