WHATE A SIGNING: michigan have agree to sign €170 player

Early National Signing Day is slated for Wednesday, December 20, making this one of the busiest weeks in college football recruiting.

The Michigan Wolverines are anticipated to sign a slew of excellent prospects. In the meanwhile, here are the top storylines to keep an eye on for Michigan fans.

Do Bair and/or Edokpayi agree to sign?
Michigan has been actively recruiting two of the best uncommitted prospects in the 2024 class: four-star wide receiver Gatlin Bair and four-star edge Lugard Edokpayi.

Bair decommitted from Boise State earlier this month, stating that he will concentrate his recruiting efforts on Michigan and Oregon. Colston Loveland, a current Michigan tight end and fellow Idaho native, told The Michigan Insider that he’s “putting in a little word” to Bair about coming to Ann Arbor.

Last month, Bair was in Michigan for The Game. It should be emphasized that the top-50 wide receiver is on a two-year mission trip, which will keep him away from his future college campus until 2026. Still, if Michigan can secure his commitment, he might be a significant player in a few seasons.

Edokpayi, who is ranked near the bottom of the 247 Composite, received an offer from Michigan before Thanksgiving. He paid an official visit last week, and a few coaches came to his house before that. At 6-foot-6 and 230 pounds, the Maryland native has good size and might grow into a consistent edge rusher and defensive line cornerstone.

Bair and Edokpayi both have Michigan crystal ball predictions from 247 Sports; we’ll be watching to see if they sign this week or wait until the next signing day in the winter.Which commits are expected to sign this week?
A large number of players in the 2024 class have already committed to the Wolverines. There are now 26 committed players, led by quarterback Jadyn Davis, running back Jordan Marshall, and offensive tackle Andrew Sprague. The majority of those players have been committed since the spring and are expected to sign on Wednesday. This week, we’ll have plenty of coverage on who signs, and we’ll keep you updated on any shocks if any high-profile pledges don’t sign.Where does Michigan’s class rank in the country?
The Wolverines have now won the Big Ten and advanced to the College Football Playoff for the third time in a row. Michigan is one of the greatest college football schools in the country, having earned the No. 1 rating and only lost one regular season game in the last three seasons.

It’s more difficult to stay at the top than it is to get there, and as supporters of Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State know, the simplest way to stay at the top is to dominate recruiting by bringing in talented four-stars and five-stars to replace players entering the NFL draft.

Michigan is definitely one notch below the top dogs in the 2024 recruiting ratings; as of Dec. 18, the Wolverines’ 2024 class is ranked 19th on 247, 16th on On3, and 13th on Rivals.

Michigan is unlikely to land a five-star recruit in this class, which is likely the main reason they aren’t in the top ten in recruiting. Nonetheless, Michigan has 17 four-star recruits, trailing only Georgia, Oregon, Oklahoma, and LSU.

It will be interesting to see how Michigan jumps up the rankings if Bair and Edokpayi can be secured. Stay tuned to Maize n Brew for the most recent recruiting updates as the Wolverines look to retool after another great season.
