Joe Burrow, the quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, has shown that he is more than worthy of his record-breaking contract, making him the most valuable player in the NFL in terms of money, even when he is not playing. He has demonstrated during the season that he is the best teammate in a number of ways, including by spending time in meetings assisting his defense and coaching his replacement Jake Browning after the injury that terminated his season. However, this week he officially went above and beyond.

In Week 15, Joe Burrow is fiery on the mic when facing Minnesota.
Burrow was seen sporting a headset during the hotly contested Week 15 game against the Minesota Vikings. Prior to the game on Saturday, he reportedly made a joke in a team group chat about not knowing how welcome the coaching staff thought he was on the communications line. Head Coach Zac Taylor contested the franchise player’s remarks during the news conference following the game.

Burrow spoke yesterday while wearing a headset. I was texting him last night, you know,” Taylor stated on Sunday. “You know, I just never know how much to say,” he remarked. “I’ll tell you when to shut up,” I replied. Believe me. I’m not afraid to advise individuals to stop talking on their headsets, then. However, once more, it’s only folks like that who are invaluable to watch from the sidelines. They have a distinct perspective on things than we have.

Browning has statistically been the second-best quarterback in the league during his tenure as starting quarterback with a spectacular quarterback rating of 107.1.  While he clearly has his own competitive fire, I’m sure he wouldn’t even disagree that the franchise quarterback’s selfless assistance hasn’t been a huge contributor.

With Cincinnati’s most recent win, their record improves to 8-6 which is good enough for the second wild card slot and a potential playoff berth for the Queen City.  Cincinnati will play struggling division rival Pittsburgh this weekend with a series of critical injuries.

Despite defeating Minesota, the team suffered the injuries of several key players. Due to a groin injury, starting nose tackle D.J. Reader will miss the remainder of the season, while star receiver Ja’Marr Chase’s shoulder separation may cause him to lose significant playing time. Cincinnati may be able to pull off some significant victories to close the season if they can muster the same kind of effort as they did against Tee Higgins this past week.

Higgins produced two great catches, one of which involved him wrapping around the pylon as he was about to go out of bounds. It was one of the most amazing plays I have ever witnessed an NFL receiver make. Coaches in Cincinnati have previously stated, “On to
