Michigan makes a professional signing, that award $195 million

The Los Angeles Chargers have fired head football coach Brandon Staley, and Jim Harbaugh’s tenure is now ON! Over the past few years, the 59-year-old Michigan head coach has been linked to several NFL positions. This is not an anomaly.

Could Jim Harbaugh replace Brandon Staley?

Indeed, rumors have claimed that Harbaugh adores Justin Herbert. Given that the Wolverines are still coping with the aftermath of the major sign-stealing incident, leaving the collegiate ranks may perhaps be more appealing than before.

Most significantly, Harbaugh has declined to formally swear loyalty to Michigan. Naturally, he won’t be leaving before the College Football Playoff, but the school is attempting to tie him down with an exceptional long-term contract.

They’ve given Jim Harbaugh a draft of his new deal. He would receive an annual salary of almost $11 million from it, not including performance-based bonuses.

The tip of the pen is still off the page. Not much is anticipated to be completed soon. especially following Staley’s dismissal.

There are rumors that the proposed agreement has wording that would prohibit Harbaugh from ever departing to play in the NFL. Although unconfirmed, if accurate, that might serve as a disincentive.

Until all NFL roles are filled, probably nothing will get done.
The clause about termination for cause in Harbaugh’s present contract is another aspect in the Harbaugh to NFL rumors. There is a lot of interim phrasing to protect the university, which is not unusual at all.

If the NCAA finds Harbaugh guilty of a Level I or Level II violation, the Wolverines have the right to terminate him per the terms of his current contract. Additionally, Michigan gave itself a rather lax way to escape the contract in the event that Harbaugh fails to “fulfill his duties” or “damages the reputation” of the university.

Michigan's Jim Harbaugh will be credited for wins despite being banned from sidelines: report

With all of the continuing issues, it is unlikely that Harbaugh will sign a new contract that might be abruptly canceled at any time. especially when he had the option to hold off and see the NFL coaching carousel first. The first domino to fall is the removal of Staley.

If Harbaugh is unable to secure a professional position, things may alter. In any case, nothing will occur in the near future.
