Bad News: Alabama QB fans are in tear due to the brutal announcement

Tyler Buchner, the quarterback for Alabama football, made headlines when he entered the transfer portal for a different sport, and it appears that he has found a new home. Inside Lacrosse reports that Buchner plans to return to Notre Dame, where he played lacrosse before, but this time as a player.

It is said that Buchner will remain with the Crimson Tide until the end of the season before moving on. For 61 yards, he has completed eight passes thus far in the 2023 campaign.

Buchner attended Notre Dame to play quarterback before deciding to transfer prior of the 2023 season to Alabama. From South Bend, he followed offensive coordinator Tommy Rees to Tuscaloosa.

In the offseason, he faced competition from Ty Simpson and Jalen Milroe for the starting position. In Alabama’s Week 3 match versus South Florida, Buchner got the start.

After taking the role, Milroe blossomed for Alabama this season, making the Associated Press’s second-team all-SEC squad. Buchner tumbled down the scale.

The 2023 NCAA lacrosse tournament was won by Notre Dame. In program history, the Irish have made six final fours, five of which have been since 2010.

In high school, Buchner excelled at lacrosse and supposedly committed to play for Michigan before deciding to concentrate on football. If he kept playing football after a transfer, he would probably have to sit out a year, but he can start playing lacrosse right away.

There’s at least one more game left in his Alabama football season. On January 1 in Pasadena, the Crimson Tide takes on Michigan in the Rose Bowl semifinal of the College Football Playoffs.
