Bad News: Bengals supporters are sobbing because of…..

The Jacksonville Jaguars were defeated 34-31 by the Cincinnati Bengals in overtime after quarterback Trevor Lawrence suffered an ankle injury.

Lawrence had to be helped off the field, but Evan McPherson’s 48-yard field goal sealed the victory.

He had sprained his right ankle, as revealed by a scan, but surgery is not expected to be required.

“Everything appears nice and is stable. In a few days, we’ll see how he is,” Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson stated.

Before teammate Walker Little stepped on his right ankle with less than six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Lawrence had completed 22 of 29 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns. The former number one draft pick, 24, punched the ground and threw away his helmet in frustration before leaving the field. The Jaguars were able to force overtime when Brandon McManus kicked a 40-yard field goal with 26 seconds remaining to make it 31-31. Cincinnati quarterback Jake Browning, starting for the second time after Joe Burrow’s season-ending wrist injury, completed 32 of 37 passes for 354 yards and a touchdown—while also running for a score.
