Last Sunday, Lions linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin made crucial plays on defense and special teams to help his team fend off the Saints.
The NFL took notice of the special teams work. The NFL honored Reeves-Maybin the NFC special teams player of the week in recognition of his four special teams tackles during the 33-28 victory.
While playing defense last weekend, Reeves-Maybin also recorded two tackles, a quarterback hit, and a pass defensed.
Reeves-Maybin, who spent the previous season playing in Houston, came back to the Lions and now has 13 tackles.
On Monday night, Browning stunned the NFL community by leading the Bengals to an overtime victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars that preserved their postseason aspirations. Joe Burrow, the injured franchise quarterback, is
playing in place of Browning, who completed an incredible 32 of his 37 passes (86.5%) for 354 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions. After tying the score with a touchdown run of his own, Browning drove the team ahead with a field goal late in the fourth quarter and then led the winning field goal drive in overtime.
Before Sunday, Deebo made great promises, and he delivered on them even more strongly as the 49ers shut out the Philadelphia Eagles 42–19. Samuel had an incredible performance in the week’s biggest game, racking up four receptions for 116 yards and two touchdowns in addition to 22 rushing yards and a score on three carries. With two huge play 48- and 46-yard touchdown receptions in the second half, Samuel sealed the blowout.
